Hassan Pasha

Hassan Pasha (1713 – 1790), full name Cezayirli Gazi Hasan Pasha, also Hasan Pasha of Algiers, was a Turkish grand-vizier of African birth. He twice reduced the beys of Egypt. He commanded, at the age of 85, the Turkish forces against Russia in 1788, but being defeated, was dismissed and put to death in 1790.
